Queries on statistical information

Idescat provides users with a free personalised assistance service to deal with queries and resolve questions regarding official statistical information

Idescat also provides its users with a service for creating made-to-measure results to handle queries about data which are not accessible on Idescat's website. This service is subject to the payment of a fee in accordance with the regulation (Order ECO/99/2023).

Idescat also issues certificates on the results of the official statistics included in the annual statistical action programmes and for which it is the body responsible. The cost per certificate is €28.45 in accordance with the aforementioned order.

Basic information on personal data protection

Data controller: Statistical Institute of Catalonia. Via Laietana, 58, 08003 Barcelona.

Purpose: to disclose the information requested and the service satisfaction survey.

Legitimation: mission performed in the public interest pursuant to Law 23/1998, of 30 December 1998, on statistics in Catalonia.

Rights of the interested persons: you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, limitation of processing and portability by any of the following means: by writing to dpd at idescat dot cat, by sending a letter to Idescat (Via Laietana, 58, 08003 Barcelona) or by making a generic request via Gencat Procedures. You must clearly specify which right or rights you wish to exercise in the request.

Procedure for the made-to-measure results or the certificate

  1. You have to fill in the form.
  2. Idescat will send you an email with the information on the estimate for the service.
  3. You have to reply to the email and confirm your interest in the service you have been quoted for.
  4. Idescat will send you another email with the payment details letter to pay the fee.
  5. Once you have paid the fee, you will receive the requested service.
