Catalonia exported industrial products worth 25,566.7 million euros in the second quarter of 2026, representing a 3.2% increase compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The grouping of industrial products by research and development (R&D) intensity shows that foreign sales of industrial products decreased at the high-technology and low-technology levels (−17.3% and −4.8%, respectively), while they increased at the medium high-technology and medium low-technology levels (9.5% and 19.4%, respectively).
Catalonia imported 28,513.5 million euros in industrial products in the second quarter of 2026, a figure representing year-over-year growth of 7.1%. By technology level, imports of high-technology products decreased by 9.0% and those at the low-technology level by 1.1%; in contrast, those at the medium high-technology level increased by 11.7% and those at the medium low-technology level by 19.6%.
