Consumer Price Index. 05/2026

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) (base 2025=100) increased by 3.1% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in May 2026. All groups showed positive rates of change, except clothing and footwear (−0.9%). The most inflationary groups were transport (6.3%), insurance and financial services (5.7%) and restaurants and accommodation services (5.0%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) was 2.9% in Catalonia.
