Industrial Production Index. 10/2025

The Industrial Production Index adjusted by working days (base=100) decreased by 0.7% year-over-year in Catalonia in October 2025. By large industrial sectors, there was a decrease in energy by 4.9%, capital goods by 2.4% and in intermediate goods by 0.3%, while consumer goods increased by 1.6%.

In October 2025, the Industrial Products Index (which does not include energy and is not adjusted by working days) decreased by 0.2% compared to the same month of the previous year and the Industrial Production Index (which includes energy) by 0.7% year-over-year. By large industrial sectors there was a decrease in energy (−4.9%), capital goods (−2.3%) and in intermediate goods (−0.3%), while consumer goods increased (1.5%).

Finally, by industrial divisions, the highest decreases were recorded in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries (−9.9%) and in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (−7.9%); on the other hand, the most notable increases were recorded in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (8.8%) and in the manufacture of machinery and mechanical equipment (8,8%).
