Statistics on Labour Cost and Vacancies. T3/2013-T2/2025
Idescat expands the information on job vacancies with the number of vacancies by groups of economic activity.
In the second quarter of 2025, the number of job vacancies stood at 26,323, 3.7% more than a year earlier.
As for industry, compared with the same quarter of the previous year, the number of vacancies decreased across all activity groups, in relative terms, except for food, textiles, wood, paper, and graphic arts, where it increased by 44.2% (from 882 to 1,272 vacancies). The industrial activity group with the largest year-over-year decrease was chemicals and rubber (−23.7%; from 678 to 517 vacancies).
As for services, the activity groups with the highest relative increases in the number of vacancies were cultural, sports and other services (139.8%; from 580 to 1,391 vacancies) and transport, storage and accommodation (104.2%; from 1,508 to 3,079 vacancies). The service activity group with the largest decrease in the number of job vacancies was administrative and support service activities (−26.5%; from 3,510 to 2,580 vacancies).
The data published today correspond to the series covering the period from the third quarter of 2013 to the second quarter of 2025. This information will be updated quarterly with data from the Quarterly Labour Cost and Vacancies Survey, in line with the release schedule for this statistical operation.
