Industrial Production Index. 09/2025

The Industrial Production Index adjusted by working days (base=100) increased by 2.2% year-over-year in Catalonia in September 2025. By large industrial sectors, all of them increased: capital goods by 6.4%, consumer goods by 1.8%, energy by 1.0% and intermediate goods by 0.9%.

In September 2025, the Industrial Products Index (which does not include energy and is not adjusted by working days) increases by 6.1% compared to the same month of the previous year and the Industrial Production Index (which includes energy) by 5.5% year-over-year. By large industrial sectors, all grow: capital goods (11.0%), consumer goods (5.3%), intermediate goods (3.7%) and energy (1.7%).

Finally, by industrial divisions the highest increases were recorded in the manufacture of transport equipment (29.1%) and in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (13.6%); on the other hand, the most notable decreases were recorded in the manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (−14.7%) and in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries (−11.7%).
