Quarterly Accounts. Q3/2025. Advance of the GDP

Catalonia’s gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 2.4% year-over-year in the third quarter of 2025 according to the advanced estimate. In quarter-over-quarter terms, the rate of change in Catalonia was 0.7%.

The year-over-year rate of change for the third quarter of 2025 was one tenth of a percentage point lower than that of the second quarter of 2025 (2.5%). By activity sectors, growth was driven by the positive performance of all of them, specifically by construction, which recorded a 4.9% increase. Meanwhile, services grew by 2.4% and industry by 1.9%. Last, agriculture registered a 3.4% increase.

The purpose of the quarterly advance of GDP is to provide information on the evolution of the Catalan economy with the least possible delay after the reference quarter. For this reason, main aggregates are calculated using statistical sources that do not cover the entire period and do not normally include data for the third month of the quarter.

The advance of the GDP results for the third quarter of 2025 is provisional and will be updated in the next publication of the Quarterly Accounts, scheduled for 15 December.
