Statistics on non-contributory pensions. 2024

A total of 67,577 non-contributory Social Security pensions were paid in Catalonia in December 2024, an increase of 4.8% with respect to the previous year. Of these pensions, 25,457 were for disability and 42,120 for retirement.

By sex, 60.5% of pensions were for women and the remaining 39.5% were for men. This proportion was more pronounced in the case of retirement pensions, 65.3% of which were for women.

The average amount received was 503 euros, 6.6% higher than in the previous December. By sex, the average pension received by men (507 euros) is higher than that for women (499 euros).
