Statistics on unemployment benefits. 2024

The average number of unemployment benefits in Catalonia in 2024 was 228,263, 2.3% more than the previous year, and the annual economic volume stood at 3,543 million euros, with a nincrease of 5.9%.

Of these benefits, 139,226 were contribution-based, and the annual economic volume stood at 2,743 million euros. The average contributory benefit in 2024 was 1,668 euros, with an increase of 4.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Regarding welfare (or non-contributory) unemployment benefits, the figure was 89,037, which translated into an annual amount of 799.2 million euros and an average allowance of 818 euros per month.
