Statistics on Audiovisuals. 2022

The turnover of companies in the audiovisual sector in Catalonia in 2022 was 1,437 million euros, a 11.5% higher than the year before. The number of companies stood at 2,342 and the sector employed 9,191 people. As for the advertising sector in Catalonia, the turnover was 4,485 million euros, 10.7% more than the previous year, and it employed 28,310 people.

From the reference year 2021 on, several methodological improvements are applied to the Structural Business Statistics, which affect the Statistics on Audiovisuals in relation to the specification of the institutional sectors covered by the Statistics and the estimation of the number of companies.
