Consumer Price Index. 09/2024

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.7% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in September 2024. All groups showed positive rates of change, except Transport (−3.8%) and communications (−0.3%).The groups with the highest inflation were hotels, cafés and restaurants (5.3%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.5%) and housing (3.0%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) was 2.7% in Catalonia.
