The number of trips to Catalonia by residents of the rest of Spain decreased 20.9% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2024, which meant a total of 1.5 million trips, 5.6 million overnight stays, an average stay of 3.9 nights, and an expenditure of 623 million euros.

The expenditure on trips to Catalonia of residents in the rest of Spain in the second quarter of 2024 was 430 euros per person, a figure that represents an increase of 5.0% above the second quarter of 2023, the equivalent to a daily expenditure of 111 euros, which increased 2.1%.

The Easter effect must be considered, given that this year it was celebrated in March and in 2023 it was celebrated in April.
