Consumer Price Index. 08/2024

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.4% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in August 2024. All groups showed positive rates of change, except communications (−0.2).The groups with the highest inflation were hotels, cafés and restaurants (4.3%), housing (3.9%) and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.7%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) was also 2.9% in Catalonia.
