Exports decreased by a year-over-year 10.3% and imports by 6.4% in Catalonia in June 2024.

By economic destination, exports of all goods decreased: those of consumer goods by 3.4%, those of capital goods by 11.7% and those of intermediate goods by 15.0%. By geographical area, sales decreased in Central and South America by 42.8%, in other countries of Europe by 22.2% and in the European Union by 6.9%; on the other hand, sales in North America increased by 19.4% and in the rest of the world by 7.5%.

As for imports by economic destination, imports of all goods decreased: consumer goods by 5.3%, those of capital by 3.6% and those of intermediate goods by 7.3%. By geographical area, purchases decreased in Central and South America by 25.0%, in the European Union by 8.2%, in the rest of the world by 3.9% and in other countries of Europe by 2.4%; on the other hand, purchases in North America increased by 7.8%.
