Statistics on Foreign Tourism. 07/2024

The number of foreign tourists who arrived in Catalonia in July 2024 stood at 2.4 million, a figure that represents a year-over-year increase of 3.7%. By country of habitual residence, the countries from which the majority of tourists came were France, the United Kingdom and the United States, with 425.1, 255.0 and 218.5 thousand tourists, respectively.

On the other hand, by reason for traveling, leisure trips, trips for other reasons (health, studies, family...) and business trips have a tourist influx with 2,208.0, 105.5 and 81.1 thousand tourists, respectively.

As for the principal type of accommodation, hotels and similar have an influx of 1.8 million tourists, and rented homes accommodated 214.4 thousand tourists.
