Statistics on Foreign Tourism Expenditure. 07/2024

The total expenditure made by foreign tourists whose main destination was Catalonia stood at 3,127 million euros in July 2024, which represents an increase of 2.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.

By country of habitual residence, the United States, France and the United Kingdom stood out with a total expenditure of 390, 377 and 282 million euros, a figure that represented a year-over-year variation of 3.1%, −15.8% and 0.4%, respectively.

The average daily expenditure per person was 220 euros, which represented a year-over-year decrease of 0.7%. The main expenditure items correspond to expenditure on accommodation (754 million euros) and to expenditure on international transport that is not included in the tourist package (717 million euros).
