Industrial Price Index. 07/2024

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 0.8% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in July 2024.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) decreased by 0.2% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices decreased by 4.0% and those of intermediate goods by 1.5%, while prices of capital goods increased by 3.2% and those of consumer goods by 1.8%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in industry wood and cork, except furniture; articles straw and plaiting materials (−4.6%) in industries of paper products (−1.6%). By contrast, the most significant increases in prices were registered in repair and installation of machinery and equipment (4.3%) and in manufacture of beverages (3.3%).
