Statistics on Foreign Tourism. 06/2024

The number of foreign tourists who arrived in Catalonia in June 2024 stood at 2.0 million, compared to 1.8 million in June 2023, a figure that represents a year-over-year increase of 10.1%. By country of habitual residence, the countries from which the majority of tourists came were France, the United States and the United Kingdom, with 316.9, 250.6 and 281.2 thousand tourists, respectively.

On the other hand, by reason for traveling, leisure trips, trips for other reasons (health, studies, family...) and business trips have a tourist influx with 1.731.7, 147.0 and 125.2 thousand tourists, respectively.

As for the principal type of accommodation, hotels and similar have an influx of 1.5 million tourists, and rented homes accommodated 214.1 thousand tourists.
