Statistics on Campsite Activity. Q2/2024

The number of overnight stays spent at campsites in Catalonia increased by 0.9% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2024, according to the provisional data from the Campsite Occupancy Survey.

As to the origins of such tourism, domestic campers decreased by 2.0%: tourism from Catalonia fell by 3.6%, while tourism from the rest of Spain rose by 10.5%. Regarding foreign tourism, it also increased, by 4.8%. Furthermore, the year-over-year figures for the number of travellers registered at campsites decreased by 4.9%.

Note that in 2024 Easter was celebrated in March, while in 2023 it took place in April.
