Industrial Price Index. 06/2024

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 0.7% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in June 2024.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) decreased by 1.3% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices decreased by 9.2% and those of intermediate goods by 1.8%, while prices of capital goods increased by 3.0% and those of consumer goods by 2.0%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in industry wood and cork, except furniture; articles straw and plaiting materials (−3.7%) in industries of paper products (−3.0%). By contrast, the most significant increases in prices were registered in repair and installation of machinery and equipment (4.2%) and in manufacture of beverages (3.0%).
