Business Climate Survey. Q2/2024

The business situation of companies in Catalonia in the second quarter of 2024 registered a balance of 11.9 points. The percentage of managers of business establishments with a favourable opinion of their business situation in the second quarter was 23.5%, while 11.6% had an unfavourable opinion. The remaining 64.9% considered that their business situation had remained stable.

By activity sector , all sectors showed positive balances.The accommodation and food service activities sector, construction other services sectors performed particularly well, with balances of 20.3, 14.9 and 13.3 points, respectively.

Moreover, expectations regarding the business situation for the third quarter of 2024 registered a balance of 11.6 points. A total of 22.7% of managers believe that their business situation will be favourable, while 11.1% believe that it will be unfavourable. The remaining 66.2% believe that it will remain stable.
