Business Confidence Indicators. Q3/2024

The Harmonized Business Confidence Index (HBCI) of Catalonia increased by 0.6% in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter.

By sectors of activity, business confidence increased in construction (3.3%) and trade (2.6%) sectors, while accommodation and food service activities and transport (0.0%) and other services (0.1%) remained stable, and industry showed a slight decrease (−0.6%).

In relation to the same quarter of the previous year the index increased by 1.1%. All sectors increased business confidence, except for trade (−0.5%). The increases in industry and construction are to be noted (3.1% each).
