Methodological note

Methodological aspects

The main purpose of these statistics is to track property sales recorded in Catalonia and the registered selling price of these properties.

Since 2013, the primary source of data has been the Public Law Corporation of Land, Personal Property and Business Registrars of Spain, and the information is compiled by the Ministry of Governance, Public Administration and Housing at the county level.

In previous years, the information was provided by municipalities with more than 30,000 inhabitants and the data came from various market research studies conducted by BCF Consultors (2012), the APOLDA Institute (2008-2011) and TECNIGRAMA (2001-2007).

When the value is lower than that of the minimum unit to be able to estimate the statistical operation or if it effects statistical confidentiality, the symbol used is "..".
