Definition of concepts

Fire
Violent fire, uncontrolled and of destructive effects, which spreads in houses, forests, etc.

Methodological aspects

Forests and forest land covering over half the area of Catalonia are a national wealth of extraordinary importance in terms of flora and fauna, the production of raw materials, the production of ecosystem and the contribution to leisure. The incidence of wooded masses on climate, hydrology, soil protection, air pollution and landscape makes their conservation be fundamental.

The fire is a phenomenon that occurs in several contexts and stages, has diverse origins and often has some devastating effects.
