Industrial Price Index. 09/2024

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 0.7% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in September 2024.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) decreased by 2.3% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices decreased by 13.5% and those of intermediate goods by 1.2%, while prices of capital goods increased by 3.3% and those of consumer goods by 1.2%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in industry wood aok nd cork, except furniture; articles of straw and plaiting materials (−3.9%), and in printing and reproduction of recorded media (−3.8%). By contrast, the most significant increases in prices were registered in repair and installation of machinery and equipment (5.3%) and in manufacture of beverages (3.4%).
