This dossier analyses the Demographic Survey 2007 data in reference to participation in housework taking into account variables as sex, age, type of household, level of education and employment. The analysis shows that women go into employment without neglecting their participation in and responsibility for housework, while the male identity is still more focused on the labour market.
The Demographic Survey 2007 is a sample based survey of Catalan households and the people residing in them. The sample is distributed across the whole of the Catalan territory, containing information on 10,580 households and 28,910 people.
The results of the Demographic Survey 2007 are published in the Statistics search by territory, where the results appear in absolute numbers and percentages.
