Industrial Price Index. 01/2026

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 0.4% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in January 2026.

During the same period the Industrial Price Index (which includes energy) decreased by 1.8% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy decreased by 10.2% and intermediate goods by 0.5%; on the other hand, prices of capital goods increased by 2.2% and those of consumer goods by 0.5%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in chemical industries (−4.4%) and in industries of food products (−1.1%); on the other hand, the highest price increases were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (8.4%) and in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (6.2%).
