Large Store Sales Index. 12/2025 and year 2025

The Large Store Sales Index of Catalonia decreased by 0.2% year over year in December 2025. By product group, the year-over-year decrease was basically caused by the decline in sales of non-food products (−1.7%), as food sales grew (1.3%).

At constant prices (i.e., eliminating the effect of prices), the Index recorded a decrease of 2.7%, caused by both product groups (−1.6% for the food group and −3.7% for the rest of products).

In 2025, the annual average of the Large Store Sales Index of Catalonia remained practically stable (0.1%) in relation to the previous year. By product group, food sales increased (0.9%), while those of the rest of products decreased (−0.8%).

The Index at constant prices recorded a 2.5% decrease in 2025 reflecting the decline in sales of both food products (−1.7%) and the rest of products (−3.3%).
