Statistics on Rural Tourism Accommodation Activity. Q4/2025 and 2025. Provisional data

The number of overnight stays in rural tourism establishments in Catalonia decreased by a year over year 9.0% in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to provisional data from the Rural Tourist Accommodation Occupancy Survey.

By country of origin, the number of overnight stays of domestic tourists decreased by 7.1% (Catalan tourism decreased by 8.1% and that proceeding from the rest of Spain increased by 14.7%) and foreign tourism decreased by 20.8%.

On the other hand, the number of travellers registered in rural tourism establishments decreased by a year-over-year 8.5%.

In the year 2025, the overnight stays in rural tourism establishments increased by 1.8% in Catalonia, according to provisional data from the Rural Tourism Accommodation Occupancy Survey.

By origin of travellers, overnight stays of domestic tourism increased by 1.3%: those of Catalan travelers increased by 0.9% and those of travelers from the rest of Spain increased by 6.6%. Overnight stays of foreign tourism increased by 3.5% compared to a year ago.

On the other hand, there was an decrease of 3.1% in the number of travellers in comparison to 2024.
