Consumer Price Index. 05/2024

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 3.6% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in May 2024. All groups showed positive rates of change, except communications (−0.3).The groups with the highest inflation were housing (4.8%), hotels, cafés and restaurants (4.6%), and transport (4.3%).

In this period, the core inflation (general index without unprocessed food and energy products) was 3.1% in Catalonia.
