Idescat participates in the 11th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics

Idescat participates in the 11th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics (Q2024), to be held in Estoril (Portugal) from 4 to 7 June.

Idescat will be giving a lecture and presenting two posters:

  • Lecture: Assessing the quality statistics on Catalonia by meeting user needs.
  • Poster: Uses and quality of the OpenStreetMaps network for the massive calculation of routes and travel costs.
  • Poster: Measuring and monitoring the sustainability of tourism at the regional level: Catalonia’s tourism sustainability indicators project.

The European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics is a biennial conference series dedicated to enforcing the dissemination of knowledge, recent research, and good practices on emerging new challenges related to quality in official statistics.

Q2024 will focus on the role of official statistics as a pillar of democracy and on some of the most challenging issues currently faced by the official statistics community.
