Indicators of Service Sector Activity. Indexes of Production and Turnover. Q3/2023

The Production Index in the Service Sector (IPROSS) (base 2015=100) decreased by 4.9% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in the third quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the Turnover Index (IASSVN) showed an increase of 0.5% compared to a year ago, since trade remains stable (year-on-year variation of 0.0%) but the other services (this is to say, all except for trade) increased by 1.2%. Within the other services, the most significant increases were in information and communications services (12.1%) and in professional, scientific and technical activities (10.5%).
