PROJ
These statistics have a specific section with all the information available: Population Projections (PROJ).
Methodological note
The purpose of the Population Projections statistical operation is to evaluate future population figures of Catalonia, as classified by sex, age and area of residence. The projection is based on the Post-Census Estimate, to which hypotheses regarding the future evolution of fertility, mortality and migration are applied.
The data for Catalonia has been calculated with the medium scenario of the population projections (base 2021). European Union data use 2019 population as base population.
