Methodological note
Campsites are establishments that provide temporary accommodation services in delimited public open-air spaces, where travellers stay in tents, caravans, camper vans and other mobile homes or bungalows.
A traveller is a person who stays one or more nights in the same campsite.
An overnight stay or occupied vacancy refers to each night that a traveller stays in this type of establishment.
The occupancy rate per plot is the percentage relationship between the daily average number of occupied plots and the number of plots available in the period analysed.
You can get more information about these statistics in the methodology.
